Saint Kateri Tekakwitha came into my life. And I've changed so many things. She has helped me to better understand the importance of healing the land. And walk in graditude.

I grew up in Syracuse NY and had heard about Kateri Tekakwitha in school. My uncle was also a counselor at Camp Tekakwitha at Lake Luzerne in the Adirondaks during his summers off from the seminary. So, I've known of her for most of my 75 years. At age 12, I took Kateri Tekakwitha as my confirmation name. Of course, everyone said, "Who??" So, now she's a saint, and I'm delighted to come across this site and the Instagram posts. I had no idea I could create a conservation center in my own yard! Thanks for this.
