What a blessing to read about this ministry in the Times today. As a Catholic and permaculture landscaper I am happy to see there are more of us taking back our yards and turning them into fruitful, nuturing spaces. I took down out invasive honeysuckle and neighbor`s winter creeper in my backyard to grow raspberries, goldenrod, and lots of native flowers. We even hand dug a small decorative clay bottom pond. Frogs and dragon flies made it home that very summer.

I just read the article in The New York Times. You are doing wonderful work. My husband and I are trying to create a native plants only garden too, in our third of an acre on Staten Island. Doing ok so far, I think! Thanks for what you do!
